How to get there
About an hour from Mestia by 4x4 or minivan on a graded mountain road through the Mulakhi villages. In winter it's timed to the lifts; in summer the track continues higher for viewpoints.
Best time to visit
December–March for skiing (snow-dependent); June–September for summer viewpoints and sunset runs.
Tetnuldi wears two hats: in winter it's Svaneti's main ski resort, and in summer its access road is one of the easiest ways to a big Caucasus viewpoint. Either way it's about an hour from Mestia through the Mulakhi villages.
Come in winter for quiet, snow-dependent skiing, or in summer for the sunset run up to the slopes. Bring more warm clothing than you think you need — it's always colder up here than in town.
